About Us

Our plans for the future are grand, but our time to implement them very limited. Our hopes (and we are open to ideas and help) are to not only create a passive registry where folks can find out what others are up to, but also to be an active alumni association which has influence over the decisions the University makes in regards to URIEMS and the resources available to them. Ideally a small advisory board (10-12 people) will be developed to meet as needed when an issue comes up that URIEMS itself cannot impact within the University. The Board would then serve to research the issue and use any influence it might have to pressure the University into making the prudent decision.

In addition to this, we would like to develop a fundraising arm that would at the very least accept donations which would be used to cover things which URIEMS cannot buy using their own budget - the niceties of life, like furniture for the new HQ; and if it works out, run events to get everyone together and raise a few funds in the process.
